Close the Gap with your Long Distance Partner this Holiday Season

The holidays are here, and whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or other festivities, you want to spend these moments with the person you love. But when you’re in a long-distance relationship, it can be hard. But it doesn’t have to be.

Today, we have everything you need to make the holidays special with your partner. Don’t believe us? Check out these 9 ways to close the gap in your LDR during the holidays. Oh, trust us, you’ll want to give them a try (and maybe another try, and another one…).

Enjoy breakfast in bed together

Nothing is sexier than breakfast in bed. Turn on FaceTime or Zoom and enjoy the morning together. Make your favorite holiday breakfast and just spend that quality one-on-one time with your partner. Now, you can just have breakfast, or you can get a little naughty this holiday season…if you know what I mean…

Get some action under the mistletoe…differently

You’re in a long-distant relationship, so you won’t be getting much physical action under the mistletoe, but you can do it virtually. With the Onyx+ & Pearl2 couples set or the Keon & Fuse couples set, you and your partner will be getting much more than just a kiss. These couples’ sets allow you to interact with each other’s toys, making it feel like the real deal. Just make sure you clean your toys after!

Create a signature scent

There’s something about scent that helps us connect with our memories and bring out certain emotions. I know the scent of your partner probably drives you wild. So, spray your bedding with your partner’s “signature scent.” That way, whether you’re waking up in the morning or having some solo pleasure, you’ll have a warm and intimate memory of them surrounding you.

Get matching PJs

You may roll your eyes at this one, but it’s so cute! It’s the uniform for the holidays. Rock the holidays together with matching PJs. Wear them on zoom together, you’ll fall in love with the idea (and it’ll become a tradition, I swear).

Gift each other sexy presents

Just because you’re apart for the holidays doesn’t mean you can’t give each other sexy presents. All you have to do is make sure not to open them in front of your family! Whether it’s an interactive sex toy, underwear with your face on it (my personal favorite), or an album from your boudoir photo shoot, tons of gift ideas will spice things up. All you need to do is pick the right one for your partner.

Watch a Christmas movie together

There are so many fun and light holiday movies, and honestly, who doesn’t love watching them? Why not snuggle up under the blankets, and watch a movie together? There are plenty of apps out there, like Together Tube, that make it easier for couples to watch movies together while sharing a screen.

Sext in the holiday spirit

If you have family around, it’s not so easy to get that alone time you want with your partner during the holidays. But, thankfully, sexting exists. Sexting is a sneaky way to get a little naughty when you have a full house of guests. You can spice up your sexting by sneaking off and taking a little bathroom photo.

Have each other’s favorite holiday meal delivered

Okay, this may not work for couples who live on separate continents, but even then, I’m sure you can be creative with this idea. We all have our favorite holiday dishes, so why not order each other’s favorite meals and have them delivered? It’s something different and a fun way to have dinner together.

Create a relationship bucket list for the new year

After the holidays, New Year's Eve comes around, so why not spend some time with your partner thinking about the future? Yes, you’re in a long-distance relationship for now, but the plan is to close the gap, right? So, plan the following year together.

Your goals don’t have to be serious; they can also be fun and sexy. For example, a goal could be to have more interactive sex when you’re apart or try out a new position when you’re together.

The holidays are here, but just because your partner isn’t by your side for them doesn’t mean you two can’t enjoy time together. Using the examples above to keep your relationship close during the holidays and make the most of the experience.
